Pages and Number are TRASH compared to Word and Excel(especially excel)
Keynote is actually pretty good!
I actually prefer Pages to Work. As well in Keynote vs Power Point.
Tho I agree... Numbers is useless.

This is absolutely pointless and I'm sick of hearing about it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Sony who started the campaign. Think about it. If you didn't like the X Factor song, you wouldn't buy it. But now there is this silly campaign to buy the RATM song for all the people who hate the X Factor song. Sony wins in either case.
And the reason the X Factor song is usually number one is because, well, the X Factor is popular.

There was one security guy with a shaved head who was excellent although I think he spent most of his time down the other end of the queue. One of the security guys at the front was really nice too but was a bit overwhelmed due to the number of people. There was an Apple guy at the front who was a bit rubbish though and let people in. The queuing was *really* bad at the front. People were pushing in and got away with it at five to six. One guy even barged in at exactly six o'clock.
Apple apparently couldn't get permission to use barriers from the council - probably because they left it so late to announce when Leopard would be in stores. We (everyone at the front) were *extremely* disappointed with the shocking organisation of the queues. The first 20m or so of the queue was about 4 people wide. The inner two had been there since about 4 while the outer two had queue jumped in at great annoyance to everyone else at about ten to six and the staff did nothing. This is the reason why some of you didn't get t-shirts. We tried complaining and arguing but to no avail. :(
Shame people had to spoil it but xD It was fun while it lasted :P Did Gareth fully install Leopard on his MBP?

I doubt a software update can magically change your crappy Intel 950 in to a worthwhile GPU.
Of course not. But it could allow multi-core support in OpenGL, which would be dandy and, yes, would affect performance even on integrated graphics systems.

Wow this is big! I'm not sure but hasn't it been like forever since Mac had 5% marketshare? Over 5% must put them in the top 5 pc makers? Maybe top 3? This is already huge growth, if they get to 10% or more look out!

This dock means that the future iPhones will sync throught thunderbolt with macs and with usb 3.0 for pcs!!! I guess thins means macs wont come with usb 3.0, so maybe an adapter would come out sometime...

That sounds messy to me: packing two sets of IO technology into something the size of an iphone doesn't sound like an attractive design option.
I think iPhones/iPods will stick to USB2 for some time to come yet.

If its up to me to should throw that medium into the wastebin asap.
I don't see why it's too early to ditch DVD-Rom for OS installing, since every single mac has USB ports.

Somehow I was expecting to see a lot more praise and excitement for the 3DS after it launched....
The 3D effect seems to trigger mixed reactions. Other than that...there really doesn't seem to be anything truly exciting about it? I don't see any "wow, those graphics!!" or "holy cow, this thing is fast/powerful" type comments.
The general vibe I am getting from here and other places is more like "pretty neat", rather than "wow, so awesome". :confused:
I think it's because the launch titles suck.
I like the 3D effect. It feels like you're looking into a box, instead of at a screen. Headaches, losing the sweet spot, etc, are a non-factor for me. And what they did with the AR is pretty awesome.
But no killer game. Which makes it a revolutionary piece of hardware that barely has anything to show off what it can do.

i was lucky enough to be standing next to a guy with an iPhone, he was making calls on it every 20 seconds so it was hard to miss, its just as shiny as they say it is! there were even q pushers right in front of one of the security guys round the corner outside the halifax there, i had been reading my copy of 'options' until about 5.50 and when i lifted my head up i 2 guys had pushed in a few feet ahead of me! so glad i was able to get a t-shirt. and i CANT TELL YOU HOW GLAD i am that i got leopard yesterday because i buggered up my HD today and if i didnt have time machine to do a full restore i don't know what i would have done!

As for what I meant- I am trying to illustrate how silly and unrealistic and inherently flawed "anti-discrimination" laws are. Lets say I do not hire a guy because he is black. Although you are correct that there is a HUGE premium on the top of the line Power Mac. The simple fact is that only corporations buy those machines. The lower end Power Mac is targeted more for actual people so the pricing is much more reasonable.
