One of my long-time paralegals at Siskind Susser, PC is Esther Schacther Fridman. Esther, who grew up here in Memphis, is the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors. In 2005, she married Benny Fridman, an Israeli who was on a work visa in Memphis at the time. The two moved to Israel shortly thereafter and Esther continues working with the firm on writing projects. Esther and Benny are the subject of a new documentary which premiered in Memphis last night. I am using Advance parole in december to visit India. I have applied my canada PR in 2008, but I don't have stamp of PR in my passport.
Is there are any problems using AP for India visit.

That EAD is different as far as I know. Probably they are referring to another I-765

You can transfer your H1 to another company and you will get extension of same validity period (check your I94 Expriry period).
You can retain the priority date of your labour when you file I-140 in the new company.
By the way, why dont you start your I485 process now in the current company? You have lived with them for so long, 6 more months after applying I485, may not be a matter I think.....

My attorney filed I-140 on July 5th. No receipt yet. No news also.
He said he cannot send it to TSC, instead he mailed it to NSC. Is that the standard filing place?
Do you have a notice for your standalone I-140 filed at NSC on or after July5th.

I am on L1 visa since May 10, and have plans to switch to H1 without going back to India. My employer is not ready to provide experience and relieving letters, if I dont resign and I cant resign, since I need to pay 5000$.
1) So, does it make a problem while applying for GC, If I dont have these letters from present employer.
2) Inlcuding present company's experience only , I will be able to qualify for EB2 category. But I will not be having letters from my present employer to show that I am having 5 years experience.
Is it must to have experience and reliving letters from all my employers? What are the options for me now? :confused:

I suggest that we all get together to discuss how we can help the effort that immigration voice has undertaken. I did attend an IV meeting in NoVa a few weeks ago, I am keen on pushing an initiative of meeting periodically to discuss how we can collectively help our cause on this side of the river.
Send me an PM to express your interest and I will send out an email with further information.
If the MD state chapter is already having meetings, please ignore this message; but some one please send me the information on when these meetings take place.
Also let me know what you all think of this proposal?

Hi,
I am a Indian. I got the L1 VISA on Mar-2008 and it is valid till Mar-2011. I have been to US with this VISA for 8 months during 2008. After returning from US, i have lost my I-129 and I-797 forms. I have the chance to goto US with same VISA but i donot have I-129 and I-797 forms.
Please let me know is it possible to get the papers back? I have enquired with my employer and they are saying that, it is very difficult to get the papers for the VISA which was issued 2 years back. Even, I donot have copies of I-129 and I-797.
Please advise me on this issue.

I submitted 485 application for me (primary) and my wife (secondary); now she is changing her job before we can get the receipt for 485 filing....she is on h1B....the new employer will file her H1B transfer..........does anyone see any issue with this????
I think its fine as her H1 status is independent of we filing 485....any thoughts?
