Silvergate did academic evaluation for me for my I-140 and they did an excellent job on my case which i needed rushed and they gave me efficient next day processing. I had contacted other evaluation services first who would take longer and were more expensive. I definitely recommend them.

Good news for EB2-I people with 1999 and earlier PD's. They have been waiting far too long. Good luck for them. They have now done 10 years in the US, and will qualify for SS, anyway.

There has been a lot of confusion today about the so called "Frist new bill" -- it is just the Hagel-Martinez bill which was brought for a cloture vote before the Senate Easter recess. I have edited to title of the thread with the text of the bill to reflect this.

Bush is visiting Csico, San Jose. There is a huge EB community in Cisco afftected by retro. I talked to my friend there and he said guys were planning to ask one question about this to Bush. Apparently ther was lot of activity around this . Any update guys ? Any one from Cisco pls respond

These are simple "skilled" visas, where an individual doesn't need any specialized training or education (other than two years of college). As such, the legislation would keep a half-million Americans out of work. Senate leadership is considering taking up the E-Verify reauthorization bill today before members depart for summer recess, so Senators are negotiating with Menendez in order to reach an accommodation.
Is there any direction from Members on this.

The Senate approved a stop-gap spending bill that will allow the Department of Homeland Security to operate until the end of October while House and Senate conferees try to work out a final version of the agency's spending bill. You will be out-ofstatus. And you need to find a job before 30-day grace period (it depends on the person who is handling your case) and move back to H1. Otherwise you cab either change to a different visa category if possible else you have to find a job and get your H1 through consular processing which happens to visit your home country get the visa stamped and comeback to US.
I am not sure about your previous H1B. if they have revoke your h1 then you cant do anything.
This is my opinion. But you can wait what others to say about this.

Just saw this story from a few days ago. Aside from being a hugely irresponsible way to spend a broke state's taxpayer funds, this idea also is probably unconstitutional. Does Arizona plan on having its own border control points? Will the state's wall interfere with Border Patrol activities? The federal government is supposed to control the national borders and not the states. Not that Arizona minds wasting the state's money to continue to losing that point.

I have a quick question. My I140 got approved in sep'08. Should I have to wait till PD gets current or I can file for I485 and USCIS will process my application according to my PD?
